Introduction - The Mekong Delta (also known as "Nine Dragon river delta") is the region in Southeast Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea through a network of tributaries. The Mekong delta region encompasses a large portion of southeastern Vietnam of 39,000 km² .The area covered by water depends on the season. The area is home to large numbers of rice cultivation fields and the surrounding farmlands are extremely fertile. Program Schedule - Morning : Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, we will transfer to a motorized boat ride to see round Cai Be Floating Market with local people selling, buying, trading goods from their boats. If you like you can even haggle over some of the products that the merchants are selling on the boat. Stop for a moment and walk inland to see a fruit orchard, watch how the famous Vietnamese Rice Paper is made in the process, rice crispies snack producing process. Have a Local lunch including tropical fruits.
We then embark on a boat through a village to see peaceful tranquil life of villagers, still unaffected from the buzzling life of a nearby City Ho Chi Minh, admire marverlous natural setting of Mekong Delta region. Afternoon : Visit Vinh Long Market, Bon Sai Garden garden enroute on their way back to Saigon.
