Vietnam Beauty QueenVietnam’s own Trieu Trang Thu Trang is currently leading the online voting to be crowned Miss Internet Popularity 2007. The internet popularity contest is part of the ongoing Miss International Tourism Queen Pageant in China.

Trang is leading the online poll with 2,100 votes. In second and third place are contestants from Thailand and the Republic of Korea with 1,400 and 1,300 votes respectively.

Twenty-one-year-old model Trang was chosen to compete after she came in second place in northern Vietnam’s Tuyen Quang Beauty Pageant last year.

Miss International Tourism has attracted 110 contestants from various nations, competing July 7-August 2 in Zheng Zhou. The beauty pageant looks to boost tourism development and international friendship and cultural exchange. This year’s competition is the fourth annual edition of the event.

The online voting for Miss Internet Popularity ends July 30.
